Headrest effort tester

The client required a station to analyze the effort required to remove a headrest from its base.
- Solution
LG AUTOMATION designed a standalone station with adjustable parameters to conform to different headrest variants.
A data acquisition routine was proposed to analyze the data from the load cells as well as linear displacement of the headrest.
- Results
The station integrated FUTEK load cells, while reporting and analyzing their measurements in the HMI.
The headrest was moved by leveraging FESTO servomotors, and all information was reported and analyzed to Allen-Bradley PLC & HMIs.
