The client required a station to analyze the vibrations generated by a cushion when actuated with a motor.

The station also required to measure linear displacement of the cushion along its H-Frame rails when the motor is powered.

The analysis is required to be automated but assisted and verified by an operator.

LG AUTOMATION designed a standalone station with adjustable parameters to redefine the valid range conditions of the motor.

A modular approach to the station’s nests was proposed in order to facilitate refurbishments or quick changes on product variant change.

The station integrated BRUEL&KJAER accelerometers, while reporting and analyzing their measurements with LabVIEW.

The station also integrated a 3.5 mm jack for manual analysis of noise vibrations.

The cushion rail displacement was measured with KEYENCE laser distance sensors.

The clamping of the H-FRAME was done with SMC pneumatics.
