E-Check tester

The client required a station to analyze the vibrations generated by a seat back frame when actuated with a motor.

The station also required to measure angular displacement of the seat when the motor is powered.

All tests also required simulating a loaded seat by applying weight to it during the test.

LG AUTOMATION designed a standalone station with adjustable parameters to redefine the valid range conditions of the motor.

To facilitate loading the product unto the station, the frame was developed with an open design, by leveraging a U-shaped array of light curtains.

The station integrated BRUEL&KJAER accelerometers, while reporting and analyzing their measurements with LabVIEW.

LG AUTOMATION integrated an adjustable weight system, with weights of different sizes to perform the test against different load conditions.

The seat’s angular displacement was measured with BALLUFF inclinometers.
